Winter Weather Policy

In the case of inclement or severe weather, please note that when Carrollton Public Schools are closed, all parish meetings will be cancelled for that day. Special directives follow.

Rosary, Morning Prayer, Evening Prayer, and Liturgy of the Word will be cancelled on days when Carrollton Public Schools are closed.

The offices will technically be closed when Carrollton Public Schools are closed, but staff may report later in the day, if they are able to get to work.

Should Carrollton Public Schools be closed on a Wednesday, no Faith Formation Sessions will take place that day.

Should Carrollton Public Schools be closed on a Wednesday or Friday, 8:30 AM Mass will be celebrated, or on a Tuesday, 6:30 PM Mass will be celebrated, unless there is an ice storm or a significant accumulation of snowfall in which city plows are unable to clear roads and the plowing company employed by the parish is unable to clear the parking lots in a timely manner.

Should a funeral be scheduled on a day when Carrollton Public Schools are closed, the funeral will take place.

Above all, please use common sense and discretion in choosing to travel in severe weather. Heed the advice of the news and weather persons when they advise staying home if you don’t need to travel. In other words, please make safe choices.
